Chun Tsubaki is a boutique creative production studio specialising in food, lifestyle, hospitality, and brand storytelling. We work with both local and regional brands across campaigns, social, and always-on content.

We are looking for a Creative / Art Director who is visually strong, strategically minded and hands-on — someone who can develop ideas across social content strategy, brand campaigns and commercial productions, and carry them through from concept to execution.

This is a multidisciplinary role sitting across creative strategy, art direction, design, and content, and is ideal for someone who understands both what makes a strong visual and what makes content relevant and effective for today's social platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative and content strategies for social media and always-on brand accounts
• Conceptualise social-first ideas across Reels, TikTok, static, carousel, and other content formats
• Translate brand and marketing objectives into strong creative ideas and visual directions
• Conceptualise commercial photography and video campaigns from brief to execution
• Develop moodboards, treatments, key visual directions, and client-facing creative presentations
• Art direct photography and video shoots, working closely with photographers, videographers, stylists, producers, and talents
• Provide creative direction and feedback across design, photography, video, and post-production
• Be hands-on with graphic design, layouts, image manipulation, and retouching when required
• Work closely with producers and the wider creative team to ensure ideas are executed to a high visual standard
• Stay current with social media, visual culture, creative trends, and emerging tools without relying solely on trends for ideas

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in art direction, creative, social content, advertising, or related roles
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both conceptual thinking and visual craft
• Strong understanding of social media content and platform behaviour
• Experience developing social content strategies and creative concepts for brands
• Experience conceptualising and art directing photography and/or video productions
• Strong graphic design fundamentals with a good eye for typography, composition, colour, and layout
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Strong Photoshop and image retouching/manipulation skills
• Comfortable developing moodboards, treatments, decks, and presenting creative ideas
• Able to communicate fluently in English (spoken and written)
• Able to balance big-picture creative thinking with hands-on execution
• Collaborative, curious, resourceful, and confident bringing your own creative point of view
• Experience in food, lifestyle, hospitality, or consumer brands is an advantage
• Photography, videography, video editing, motion, or AI creative tool experience is a plus
