Creative Assistant (Art & Content)

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative individual to join our team and help with art research, content creation, and community support for @makewithbrandon, an art-focused content channel with 500K+ followers across social media.

Our content revolves around art, painting, creative projects, and DIY.

Your main focus will be researching interesting artists, art styles, and creative techniques, creating simple illustrations and graphics for social media, and helping with our online art community.

We’re looking for someone who has a genuine curiosity for all kinds of art and creativity. You should have a good visual eye, enjoy discovering new creative ideas, and be excited to try different things.

This is a great opportunity for an art student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Research artists, art styles, techniques, and creative project ideas.
• Create simple art and text-based graphics for social media.
• Write short, engaging descriptions of artists, artworks, and creative processes.
• Assist with content creation, activities, and engagement for our online art community.
• Brainstorm creative ideas for social media content and monthly art challenges.
• Support other art-related tasks and creative projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Broad interest in different art styles, mediums, and creative disciplines, with a curiosity to explore and learn new things.
• Good visual eye and basic graphic design skills.
• Comfortable using Canva or similar design tools.
• Good writing and research skills.
• Must have your own computer.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Currently studying or recently graduated from an art program.
• Experience creating social media content or carousels.
• Familiarity with different art styles, movements, and techniques.
• Experience with online communities or social media management.
• Hands-on experience with painting, crafts, sculpture, printmaking, or DIY projects.
