Creative, Content and Event Coordinator

About the role

A hands-on maker role where you pick up a camera, edit the reel, and post it. This is not a role where you brief an agency or manage a team. You will be the content, campaign and brand activation engine for Sawmill. Fully on-site at our Matakana Brewery, minimum 30 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Shoot, edit and post our social and content output.
• Run brand activations: events, on-premise visits, retail moments.
• Shape our brand narrative through PR and storytelling across media, events and community channels.
• Develop and run trade marketing campaigns — from supporting on-premise customers to national retail activations.
• Contribute to new product development.
• Make smart, considered decisions with a lean budget — no big agency spend.
• Collaborate closely with sales, production, creative suppliers and retail partners.

About you

• 3+ years making content, running events, or producing media yourself — a marketing title isn't required if the hands-on experience is there.
• You know what good looks like — content, a campaign concept, a brand moment.
• You're comfortable behind a camera and in a conversation with our customers.
• This is a maker role, not a management role — no direct reports, no agency briefing.
• Experience in FMCG or retail is useful.
• You hold NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
