About the Role

Digital Mantraaz is looking for a Creative Script Writer who can turn simple thoughts into interesting stories, concepts and communication. We are not looking for someone who only knows how to write captions or promotional content. We are looking for someone who can think, imagine, observe and create — someone who can find an interesting story in an ordinary situation and explore different ways of telling it. The role involves writing across reels, short videos, campaigns, social media creatives, brand films, taglines, concepts, blogs and other digital formats.

What You’ll Do

● Develop original creative concepts and story ideas.

● Write scripts for reels, short videos and digital content.

● Build narratives around situations, observations, emotions and ideas.

● Create strong hooks, openings, twists and endings.

● Develop dialogue, conversations, monologues and voice-over scripts.

● Write creative taglines, headlines and campaign lines.

● Turn one thought into multiple creative directions.

● Adapt stories and ideas for different formats and platforms.

● Explore different styles including humour, emotion, suspense, curiosity, drama and unexpected storytelling.

● Develop blogs, articles and longer-form content when required.

● Work closely with designers, video editors and digital marketers to bring ideas to life.

● Take feedback, rethink an idea and improve the creative without losing its core thought. What We’re Looking For

● Ability to find stories in ordinary moments.

● Ability to think beyond the obvious or predictable direction.

● Strong understanding of narrative structure.

● Ability to create curiosity and hold attention.

● Ability to write both short, sharp copy and complete stories.

● Comfortable experimenting with different writing styles and perspectives.

● Strong command of English.

● Understanding of visual storytelling and digital content. What Matters Most We value creative thinking over fancy vocabulary. We want someone who can take one simple thought and find several interesting directions within it. Someone who doesn’t immediately ask: “What should I write?” But thinks: “What could this become?” AI & Writing AI tools are welcome as part of the creative process — for research, exploration, refinement or assistance. But AI should not replace the writer’s original thought, observation or storytelling ability. Good to Have

● Advertising or agency experience

● Scriptwriting or screenplay experience

● Short-film, theatre or creative-writing experience ● Experience writing for digital platforms

● Tamil / Tanglish writing ability

● Understanding of social media and digital content

● Basic understanding of visual communication
