The Opportunity – Creative Director

Garfield is looking for an experienced, hands-on Creative Director to lead the creative vision, design, and brand of the company. This role shapes how Garfield looks, feels, and communicates to customers, and works closely with Sales and Leadership to support business growth. We’re looking for someone who pairs strong creative instincts with business and marketing acumen, someone who can turn business objectives into compelling marketing. They’ll work with a team of specialists to assist with design, copy, and creative execution.

What You'll Do:

• Own Garfield’s creative vision and brand expression across all markets, including visual identity, design, messaging, content, and customer-facing experiences. Ensure the brand is cohesive, compelling and aligned.
• Lead creative marketing campaigns across digital and print, including websites, email, advertising, social media, direct mail, sales materials, presentations, and trade shows.
• Partner with other departments to turn business objectives and customer needs into creative concepts and campaigns that drive lead generation, conversion, and growth.
• Set the direction for content and messaging, making sure it clearly communicates Garfield’s value to customers.
• Lead projects from concept through execution, working with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to maintain quality, consistency, timelines, and budgets.
• Use customer insights and performance data to guide creative decisions and continuously improve campaigns.
• Provide creative leadership and collaboration across the organization, bringing fresh ideas and serving as the go-to-resource for Garfield’s brand, visual, design, and creative marketing needs.

You might be a good fit if you:

• Have 7+ years of experience in creative direction, design, branding, or marketing with a strong portfolio.
• Have led creative for B2B audiences across multiple channels, including digital and print.
• Bring a strong combination of creative vision and business/marketing understanding, with the ability to connect creative work to customer engagement.
• Have strong skills in visual design, branding, content, and storytelling, with a good grasp of UX/UI.
• Think strategically but are comfortable getting hands-on.
• Communicate and collaborate well across departments.
• Are organized, curious, and proactive, and can manage multiple priorities from concept to completion.
