Paid internship that can become a permanent job. We want someone who edits because they can’t help it, who spots a trend before anyone explains it, and who turns half-formed ideas into reels, shorts, and posts that are ready to publish.

Quick facts

• Location: Magpie Nest Group HQ, Banasree, Dhaka (on-site)
• Employment: Full-time internship
• Duration: 4 months, with a path to permanent employment
• Hours: 11 AM – 8 PM, 5 days a week (9 hours)
• Weekend: Friday – Saturday
• Stipend: Paid (BDT 10K)

What you’ll do

• Edit Reels, Shorts, TikToks and long-form videos end-to-end: cuts, captions, music, colour correction and basic motion graphics
• Support shoots with camera and lighting setup, audio recording and organised footage
• Design social posts, thumbnails, banners, stories and carousels
• Spot trending memes, formats, sounds and pop culture moments early, and adapt them to our brands while they’re still relevant
• Pitch your own content ideas, hooks, scripts and captions
• Repurpose each piece of content into every size and format each platform needs
• Keep files, assets and project folders clean and easy to find

What we’re looking for

• A portfolio, showreel or sample work in both video and design (this matters more than your degree)
• Strong editing in Premiere Pro, After Effects or CapCut
• Basic to intermediate Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva
• Basic comfort shooting on a smartphone, setting up lighting and recording clean audio
• Real fluency in meme and pop culture (films, series, music, sports, gaming, creators), especially what’s landing with UK and USA audiences
• A sharp eye for trends, pacing and storytelling
• Clear written English for captions and short scripts, with a feel for internet humor
• A degree in any field, or equivalent practical skill shown through your work

Nice to have

• Subtitles, voiceover or sound editing experience
• Basic photography skills
• Understanding of content planning and analytics
• A personal, student, meme or fan page you’ve grown yourself
