Creative Lead

About the role

Hands-on Creative Lead working across social, video, audio, design and paid. This is a working role. You will produce work yourself as well as direct it, every day, alongside the team.

Key responsibilities

• Produce content across design, layout and campaign creative
• Own the craft standard across all formats: design, video, motion, layout and paid creative
• Run the craft review before work goes to the Editor-in-Chief for editorial sign-off
• Redirect work that misses on execution, and rewrite the creative brief where it is the brief at fault
• Direct the visual system across templates, layout and motion
• Brief and quality-check external production partners
• Coach producers, designers and video editors
• Work with the Editor-in-Chief and the account lead on campaign direction
• Report to the Editor-in-Chief, who holds editorial direction and final sign-off

About you

• 6 to 7 years in creative, with experience leading a team
• Portfolio covering design, video and campaign work
• Working BM and English, enough to work comfortably across both
• Experience holding quality at volume
• Comfortable with structured client approval processes
• Sound judgement on sensitive subjects
• Still hands-on in the tools
• Able to take on ad hoc tasks and work long hours when required, with compensation
• On site in Kuala Lumpur, with no remote or hybrid option
• Agency experience on corporate or public sector accounts (advantageous)
• Video direction (advantageous)
