What they need
Our client, a global CPG company, is looking for an Creative Operations Training Specialist to join their newly created in-house agency team as a contractor for the next year. This role requires you to be onsite 4 days per week (Fridays remote) at the company's office in Overland Park, KS.
In this role, the Creative Operations Training Specialist will guide internal stakeholders through operational transition away from external advertising agencies and into our in-house agency services model, focusing on creating and building training materials, presentations, and acting as the SME for the operational and enablement engine for the internal agency.
This is explicitly a hands-on execution role. You will identify and lead stakeholders, brand teams, and internal "clients" through a structured 12-month rollout, building engaging training assets (presentation decks, quick-reference guides, video walkthroughs, and comms), identifying knowledge gaps, collaborating with the external advertising agency, creating process documents, and establishing ROI/KPI metrics.
Key Responsibilities and Phased Deliverables: Ongoing Needs
Collateral & Content Creation : Develop visual, highly engaging training materials including polished presentation decks, short video walkthroughs, email comms, and interactive guides to educate stakeholders on new SCS workflows, creative intake software, and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
Manage Communication Updates: As new technology is deployed and new processes/systems are developed, create training materials to explain the change and contextualize it for stakeholder adaptation.
Distributing and coaching: Creating distributions lists on the right channels for training materials. Offering one on one coaching sessions with individual stakeholders to walk through new processes, identify obstacles they are facing and providing solutions.
Identify Key Stakeholders for Training: Learn the companys organizational structure and process to identify key stakeholders for training.
Phase 1: Operational Infrastructure & Enablement
Stakeholder Onboarding: Support the onboarding of internal stakeholders and new hires, ensuring seamless knowledge sharing and widespread adoption of the new internal agency model.
Process & Gap Assessment: Audit existing ways of working, identify knowledge gaps across internal marketing and product teams, and partner with SCS to document clear rules of engagement for working with the internal team.
Phase 2: Implementation
Feedback gathering and synthesis: Actively gather feedback from creative teams and internal clients to iterate on and optimize workflow processes. Provide workflow recommendations based on feedback.
External Agency Transition: Manage the transition of key projects being phased out of external agency support, safeguarding institutional knowledge and ensuring zero drop in project continuity. Establish new ways of working with the external agency on hybrid projects where the agency owns strategy and development of the core creative and IHA owns creative execution of localization and versioning.
Client Facilitation & Training: Host and facilitate interactive training sessions for internal "clients" (Marketing, Product, Legal, etc.) to guide them on briefing, review cycles, and feedback loops.
Phase 3: Optimization & Scaling
KPI & Value Tracking: Establish and monitor performance metrics (efficiency gains, cost savings, creative quality, turn times) to demonstrate the ROI and success of the internalization.
Global Cost-Benefit Analysis : Assist leadership in conducting cost-benefit analyses for scaling the in-house studio model to the Rest of World (ROW) / international regions.
Global Roll-out stakeholder training: Develop training materials for SCS to be rolled out internationally and adapt ways of working for each region.
Business Case Formalization: Build and present formal business cases for incremental resourcing and infrastructure necessary to support global scaling.
Required Qualifications -Experience: 5+ years in creative operations, agency account management, change management, or marketing operations within an agency (internal or external) or corporate environment.
-Content & Deck Development: Comfortable teaching stakeholders and breaking down processes visually - whether through engaging presentation decks (Google Slides/PowerPoint), short video walkthroughs (Loom/Camtasia), or written guides.
-Agency & Creative Workflow Knowledge: Deep familiarity with end-to-end creative processes (briefing, asset management, review loops, agency sunsetting, and intake models).
-Facilitation & Training Skills: Proven track record of hosting workshops and 1-on-1 coaching sessions to shift stakeholder mindsets and drive process adoption.
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience transitioning corporate or brand teams from external agency models to an internal studio/in-house agency model.
-Familiarity with enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and work management software (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com).
-Global or multi-region creative operations experience.
-Experience defining performance metrics (KPIs), analyze operational cost-savings, and build data-driven business cases for executive leadership.
