Creative (Short Video)

About the role

HOUSE YEP is looking for a Creative to develop big ideas and content concepts for video and social media projects. You will be responsible for creating content pillars, writing scripts and storyboards, and presenting creative ideas to clients with clear reasoning. You will work end-to-end from concept development through production feedback and final delivery, collaborating with producers, coordinators, editors, and camera teams to ensure creative vision is executed accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts, big ideas, and content ideas for video and social content
• Establish content pillars and content direction appropriate for each brand
• Write scripts, storyboards, treatments, and references to communicate ideas to the team
• Create creative briefs for production, camera, and editing teams
• Research and source new references from domestic and international sources and adapt them to projects
• Present and pitch ideas to clients with clear explanation of reasoning
• Consult with clients to gather briefs and translate them into creative direction
• Collaborate with producers, coordinators, editors, and camera teams on each project
• Oversee creative execution on set to ensure output matches the established concept
• Review initial footage and provide direction to the team during production
• Provide feedback on editing, motion, sound, and graphics to maintain creative consistency
• Monitor social media trends and new formats continuously

About you

• Experience in creative, content creation, creative production, copywriting, or related fields
• Portfolio demonstrating your thinking process, not just beautiful work
• Ability to develop concepts and build on briefs
• Ability to think conceptually, communicate verbally, brief teams, and oversee execution
• Can explain the reasoning behind your ideas, not just intuition
• Understanding of visual aesthetics, mood and tone, composition, and storytelling
• Familiarity with international work, strong reference library, and ability to adapt references to brands
• Understanding of social content, particularly TikTok, Reels, and short-form formats
• Strong communication skills with both clients and production teams
• Ability to receive feedback and build upon it
