What they need
Summary
We're looking for creative strategists who can work out what to make, why it should work, and what to test next, then turn that into briefs our editors, designers and creators can run with. We offer a competitive base salary that reflects what you bring: your research, your ideas, your read on the data, and your track record of finding winners. Strategists who can do the thinking and the briefing are hard to find, and we pay accordingly.
About Us
We're a London-based growth marketing agency for mobile subscription apps: creative production, performance marketing on Meta and TikTok, the works. We partner with some of the biggest and fastest-growing apps on the App Store: category leaders, household names, and the next wave of breakout hits. Our creative drives millions in revenue for our clients, and we're scaling fast alongside them.
The Role
We're hiring a Creative Strategist to sit between the data and the edit. Day-to-day you'll research our clients' audiences, markets and competitors, dig into what's working in their ad accounts, and turn it all into creative strategy, testing roadmaps and briefs for a roster of high-profile app clients. Your briefs become the hooks, scripts, statics and UGC that get seen by millions across TikTok, Reels and Meta.
This role is built around making ads that win. Our editors ship a lot, and they ship fast. Your job is to make sure those shots are aimed: grounded in a real audience insight, testing a real hypothesis, and different enough from the last round that we actually learn something. The strategists who thrive here care about what the numbers say, not what looks good in a deck.
How We Think About Creative
No one, not the best agencies, not the best strategists, not the best marketers, can reliably call which ad will win before it's tested. So we don't pretend to. We ship volume, we test fast, and we let the data tell us what's working.
That's exactly why strategy matters. Volume without direction is just noise. A good strategist raises the hit rate. They know which insight is worth building a concept around. They know the difference between a new idea and a new execution of an old one. And they can look at a result and say honestly whether it's a winner, an underperformer, or a test that hasn't told us anything yet.
The mindset we want is simple: form a hypothesis, brief it sharply, test it, read the result honestly, and double down on what wins. Winners come from shots on target. Your job is to put more of them on target.
What You'll Do
- Conduct competitor, market, customer and creative research to find audience insights, messaging angles and creative opportunities
- Analyse existing ad performance and spot patterns across hooks, angles, audiences, formats and execution styles
- Call results properly: separate winning, underperforming and inconclusive ads rather than judging creative on how it looks
- Turn business goals, audience insights and performance data into a structured creative strategy and testing roadmap for each client
- Generate genuinely different concepts, not minor variations of the same one, then explore multiple executions of the strongest ideas
- Build messaging hierarchies, hooks, scripts, static concepts, UGC directions and iteration ideas
- Write detailed, actionable briefs that editors, designers and creators can execute without needing a call to explain them
- Work closely with growth managers to understand what the media-buying data is signalling and decide what gets tested next
- Review finished creative against the original strategic intent and give clear, useful feedback before it goes live
- Stay on top of platform behaviour, creative trends and competitor activity, without letting trends override performance fundamentals
You'll Thrive Here If You:
- Have hands-on experience in performance creative strategy for paid social, ideally on Meta and TikTok, and ideally for apps or subscription products
- Know your metrics (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA, ROAS) and can tell a real winner from a lucky one, or from a test that never got enough spend to mean anything
- Can explain why you think an ad worked, and what you'd test next to find out if you're right
- Think in ideas first and executions second
- Write briefs that are specific: who it's for, what it's saying, why it should work, and exactly what the editor or creator needs to make it
- Are as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are in a script
- Give feedback that's direct, specific and tied to the brief, not to personal taste
- Follow trends closely but know the difference between a trend and a fundamental
- Want to be paid well for being good at what you do
What You'll Learn
You'll be working alongside growth managers and senior marketers running serious spend in some of the most competitive categories on the App Store. Your ideas go live quickly and at scale, so you'll see what happens to them in the account within days, not quarters. That's the fastest feedback loop a strategist can get. You'll also be briefing into a team that's pushing hard on AI-led video production, which means concepts that would have been too expensive or slow to make a year ago are now on the table. Over time you'll sharpen how you build testing frameworks, read creative data, and find winners faster.
Tools
We don't mind how you like to work, but you'll need to be fluent in Meta Ads Manager and comfortable pulling and reading creative-level data. You'll spend a lot of time in the Meta Ad Library, TikTok Creative Center, competitor accounts, app store reviews and comment sections. Use AI tools for research, analysis and ideation wherever they speed you up, but not as a substitute for thinking. What we care about is that the thinking is sharp and the brief is usable. If your briefs regularly need a 30-minute call to explain, or you judge an ad by whether you like it, this probably isn't the right fit.
Other offers great for you!
