Creative Video Associate

About the role

The Creative Video/Graphic Associate plays a crucial role in helping produce high-quality video content for complex topics that effectively communicate messages and drive intended actions. This position requires a combination of creative and technical skills to bring concepts to life through video production. Much of the source material is dense and technical with items like plan documents, award agreements, and client-provided specifications. The ability to read closely, understand what matters, and translate it into clear, visually striking content is central to this role. Your creativity and attention to detail are essential as you collaborate with the team to develop video and digital content, as well as traditional print materials.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the creative team to create, develop, and produce innovative creative content for a variety of clients
• Read and interpret complex source materials – including equity plan documents, technical specifications, and client-provided content, to identify the key messages an audience needs to understand
• Translate complex messaging into visually appealing, easy-to-follow graphics, animations, and video that non-expert audiences can immediately grasp
• Manage all aspects of creative production, from concept to distribution
• Sync audio and video elements to create seamless final products
• Manage file organization and storage of video assets
• Provide creative input and suggestions for improving video production, while also adapting to feedback and incorporating changes into video projects
• Work independently on assigned projects, managing your own time and raising questions proactively when source material is unclear
• Keep track of project progress and communicate updates to the team
• Ensure all deliverables adhere to brand guidelines (such as color, type, etc.)

About you

• Proficiency in video/graphic editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Camtasia, or similar program
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong reading comprehension and command of written English
• Demonstrated ability to digest dense, technical, or unfamiliar subject matter and distill it into accurate, simple, visually engaging content
• Creative, with the ability to come up with new and innovative ideas
• Manage multiple work streams simultaneously, adhering to deadlines
• Portfolio Required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of projects from assignment through delivery
• Ability to adapt to changing operational needs to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in animation, graphic design, film production, multimedia, communications, or a related field; or 1 to 2 years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
