Creatives Intern

• Daily alignment with assigned Mentor for tasks, feedback on work, and timeline.
• Assist Art Directors, Associate Creative Directors, Creative Directors, and the Executive Creative Director with day to day tasks, company activities, internal projects, and external projects. This includes a wide range of design-related tasks, including sketching, visualizing, mocking up, revising, and polishing.
• Act as a creative assistant on-ground for productions, events, and activities. This includes documentation duties, acting as a runner, helping direct talent, assisting with documents, and the like.
• Create supers, thumbnails, icons, and other visual design elements needed to bring video concepts to life. This includes possibly taking photographs on-set for thumbnail use.
• Generate social media edit-downs of full-length materials provided by production partners. This includes preparing storyboards before the shoot, editing footage from the production house, and creating thumbnails for the finished product.
• Assist in the documentation and social media rollout for events. This includes joining pre-production meetings, generating shotlists, designing social media frames, and taking footage on-ground.
• Participate actively and submit work regularly for enrichment activities designed by assigned Mentor. Outside of active internal and external projects, creative assignments will be prepared weekly for the Creatives Interns to teach them basic design principles and techniques through practical means.
• Ideate, execute, and present the intern capstone project. Work collaboratively with intern cohort/s to brainstorm and bring ideas to life, in line with the given brief. Demonstrate a sense of ownership over the work by being involved from end to end.
• Work with intern cohort/s as the art and design point person, including coordinating with fellow interns for tasks, timelines, attendance, documents, and access; handling all art and design tasks for the intern capstone project; handling or providing support for art and design tasks for internal and external projects; and coordinating with assigned Mentors.
• Organize, quality check, and label creative files as needed for turnover, collaboration, documentation, and archiving.
• Attend and learn from training and development workshops held by Varsity, whether specifically for the intern program or for employee engagement.

Internship milestones

• Render at least 500 hours for the internship duration
• Ideate, execute, and present the Intern Capstone Project
• Handle all art and design work for at least (2) internal projects
• Provide design support for at least (3) external projects
