Role Description The Creator in Residence is a part-time, on-site role based in Palo Alto, CA, focused on developing innovative video content that showcases the capabilities of AKOOL’s AI platform. The person in this role will ideate and produce original video concepts, experiment with features such as AI video translation, avatars, and face swap, and create compelling demos and campaign assets. Day-to-day responsibilities include scripting and storyboarding, hands-on content creation within the AKOOL suite, collaborating with product and marketing teams, and iterating on content based on performance and audience feedback. The Creator in Residence will also contribute to thought leadership by exploring new creative formats, documenting best practices, and sharing insights on the future of AI-powered video.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skill in video content creation, including concept development, scripting, and visual storytelling.
• Experience working with digital media tools or AI-powered creative platforms, and comfort experimenting with new technologies.
• Strong creative judgment and ability to align content with brand, marketing, or product goals.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
• Prior experience as a creator, filmmaker, content producer, or similar role; portfolio or reel showcasing relevant work.
• Familiarity with social platforms and audience engagement strategies; understanding of trends in AI, video, and digital content.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving startup setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Film, Media, Design, Communications) or equivalent professional experience.
