Credentialed Dance Teacher

Lashon Academy is hiring a Credentialed Dance Teacher for Elementary School for the 2026-2027 School Year!

*Candidate must have either a Single Subject Teaching Credential: Dance or Designated Subjects: CTE (Career Technical Education) AME (Arts, Media and Entertainment) (R4T:AMAE) credential. Candidates without a credentialed will not be considered**

Dance Teacher- Responsibilities

Teachers will teach dance to grades TK-8th grade under the supervision of the Dance Department Lead. The Lashon Dance Program Curriculum includes the history of dance, dance terminology, basic movement fundamentals, and advanced choreography for older grades. It involves teaching elements of a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, House, Modern, Musical Theater, and Tap. Dance teachers will play a critical role in designing choreography for the signature end of year dance show which involves all grades. This position is rewarding because it involves cultivating strong relationships with elementary age students throughout the school year. The relationships students build with their dance instructors is critical to their success and well being! It is critical that our dance teachers can commit to this job for the full school year. This job is best suited for dancers seeking a stable, long-term opportunity. This job is not a fit for candidates who anticipate their availability or schedule will significantly change after a few months.

Dance Teacher Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid single Subject Teaching Credential: Dance or Designated Subjects: CTE (Career Technical Education) AME (Arts, Media and Entertainment) (R4T:AMAE) credential required
• 1 year of previous teaching experience required

Schedule: M-F 7:30 PM-4:15 PM (4:30 PM on select days), some evening events

Number of Hours: 40 hours a week

Position: Full Time

Salary:

$71,070- $81,637 for newly hired credentialed teacher (salary table goes up to $117,221) a year PLUS stipends
