This position works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, hospitals, facilities, payers, credentialing organizations, and internal teams to keep provider files complete, applications moving, and deadlines on track.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through consistently, and understands that credentialing delays can directly affect provider readiness and operations.

MEDIATOR
We communicate thoughtfully, help resolve concerns, and work toward productive solutions.
What You Will Do
Provider Credentialing and Recredentialing
· Coordinate initial credentialing, recredentialing, reappointments, and privileging for physicians and advanced practice providers across hospitals, post-acute facilities, and other assigned practice locations.
· Collect, review, organize, and maintain provider credentialing documentation and ensure files remain complete, accurate, and current.
· Manage credentialing applications from initiation through completion and approval, including follow up for missing documents, signatures, attestations, and outstanding requirements.
· Communicate directly with providers, Medical Staff Offices, facilities, and external credentialing organizations regarding application status, deficiencies, and deadlines.
· Maintain accurate credentialing trackers, provider files, facility requirements, and approval records.
Payer Enrollment and Provider Data
· Coordinate Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer enrollment, revalidation, demographic updates, and terminations as assigned.
· Maintain CAQH profiles, attestations, PECOS, NPPES, payer portals, and supporting provider documentation.
· Maintain organized provider identifiers, portal access information, taxonomy information, and other enrollment data needed across the organization.
· Partner with Revenue Cycle, Billing, Operations, and external vendors to resolve enrollment or provider data issues that may affect claims or reimbursement.
Compliance and Expiration Management
· Monitor medical licenses, DEA registrations, board certifications, malpractice insurance, BLS, ACLS, and other required credentials and proactively address upcoming expirations.
· Support AHCA background screening and other facility or regulatory compliance requirements.
· Track provider orientation, facility access, required training, and other readiness requirements.
· Escalate credentialing delays, deficiencies, compliance concerns, or time sensitive barriers to the HR Coordinator.
Reporting and Operational Excellence
· Prepare credentialing status and aging reports identifying pending applications, outstanding requirements, upcoming expirations, and anticipated completion dates.
· Support credentialing audits, provider documentation requests, onboarding, and offboarding activities.
· Identify opportunities to improve credentialing workflows, tracking, communication, and turnaround time.
· Maintain strict confidentiality of provider and organizational information.
Who We Are Looking For
The right candidate is exceptionally organized, persistent with follow-up, and comfortable managing high volume, deadline driven work without losing sight of the details. They communicate professionally with providers and external partners, keep accurate records, and take ownership of moving applications forward.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
· One to three years of credentialing, provider enrollment, medical staff, or healthcare administration experience preferred.
· Experience with CAQH, PECOS, NPPES, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer enrollment, AHCA, and hospital credentialing required.
· CPCS, CPES, or related credentialing certification is a plus but not required.
· Excellent organization, accuracy, attention to detail, follow through, and ability to manage multiple provider files and deadlines simultaneously.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional confidence when working with physicians, advanced practice providers, facilities, payers, and external partners.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn credentialing databases, portals, and company systems.
· Ability to protect confidential and sensitive provider and organizational information.
