Credit Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse financial statements, cash flows, credit reports, and borrower information.
• Assess creditworthiness, repayment capacity, business and industry risks.
• Prepare credit appraisal notes and recommend appropriate credit limits and terms.
• Review existing accounts, monitor portfolio performance, and identify early warning signals.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory requirements, and internal risk guidelines.
• Coordinate with Relationship Managers, Risk, Legal, and Operations teams.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 5-6 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, corporate/SME banking, or financial services.
• Strong financial statement analysis and credit assessment skills.
• Good knowledge of lending practices and risk management.
• Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
• CA/MBA Finance/CFA/FRM or equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
