What they need
Credit Analyst – Private Lending & Property Investments
Build your career beyond traditional banking and become a key decision-maker in a growing private credit business backed by one of Australia's most successful property groups.
At Meriton, you'll do more than assess transactions—you'll help shape lending decisions, deploy private capital and gain exposure to a diverse range of property-backed investment opportunities.
If you're looking for greater autonomy, broader commercial exposure and the opportunity to influence outcomes rather than simply analyse them, this role is built for you.
Why You'll Love This Role
- Influence lending decisions and work directly with decision makers
- Expand beyond credit analysis into broader property investment opportunities
- Enjoy genuine career growth within a growing private lending business
- Competitive remuneration and company benefits
- Sydney CBD location with a collaborative and high-performing team
About the Role
Working within our private lending and property investment division, you will play a key role in identifying, assessing, structuring and managing secured real estate lending opportunities.
Unlike many institutional lending roles, you will have exposure to the entire transaction lifecycle—from origination and credit assessment through to settlement, portfolio management and recovery strategies.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Assessing and structuring real estate-backed lending opportunities
- Conducting detailed credit analysis, due diligence and valuation reviews
- Preparing credit submissions and recommendations for approval
- Structuring loan facilities, security arrangements and risk mitigants
- Managing portfolio performance and covenant compliance
- Monitoring and reporting on loan book performance and emerging risks
- Building relationships with brokers, valuers, solicitors and other internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting business growth
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience in credit analysis, commercial lending or property-backed lending
- Sound understanding of credit risk assessment and loan structuring
- Experience analysing residential or commercial real estate transactions
- Strong commercial judgement and decision-making capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with brokers and external stakeholders
- Hands-on and proactive approach
Your Future with Meriton
This role offers a unique opportunity to move beyond a traditional credit function and become part of a business where your analysis directly influences investment and lending decisions.
You'll work alongside experienced property and finance professionals, gain exposure to a broad range of transactions and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of our private lending business.
If you're looking for a role where you can have genuine commercial impact while developing your career within a successful and diversified property group, we'd love to hear from you.
Australian full-time permanent working rights are required.
