The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Analyst to evaluate creditworthiness, assess financial risk, and provide well-supported recommendations to management. This part-time, fully remote role is ideal for a finance professional who can interpret financial information, identify potential risks, and translate complex analysis into clear business insights.

The successful candidate will contribute to informed credit decisions while helping strengthen portfolio quality, risk controls, and overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, credit applications, and supporting documentation.
• Assess borrower creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and overall risk exposure.
• Review financial ratios, cash flow, profitability, leverage, and liquidity indicators.
• Conduct industry, market, and counterparty research to support credit assessments.
• Prepare credit analysis reports and clear recommendations for management review.
• Identify emerging risks, inconsistencies, and potential warning indicators.
• Monitor existing credit exposures and changes in borrower financial performance.
• Support credit limits, risk ratings, and approval recommendations in line with policies.
• Collaborate with finance, risk, sales, and business teams on credit-related matters.
• Maintain accurate analysis, documentation, records, and reporting for assigned portfolios.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in credit analysis, banking, lending, financial risk, or corporate finance is preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit assessment, and risk evaluation.
• Knowledge of financial ratios, cash-flow analysis, credit structures, and repayment capacity.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Familiarity with financial research, credit reporting, spreadsheets, and analytical tools.
• Ability to evaluate information objectively and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of confidentiality, financial controls, and responsible credit practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a remote environment.
