Credit Analyst

We are seeking a high-caliber financial professional to fill a dual-capability role in Mumbai focused 70% on Credit Analysis, Underwriting, and Transaction Structuring and 30% on Business Development and Deal Origination .

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end credit assessment, detailed financial modeling, and risk evaluation for complex debt and trade finance transactions. Additionally, you will leverage your market network to originate high-quality leads, maintain corporate relationships, and assist in closing mandate engagements across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Underwriting, Risk Analysis & Structuring (70%)

• Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build, review, and stress-test comprehensive three-statement financial models, sensitivity analyses, debt service coverage calculations (DSCR, ICR), and valuation frameworks for corporate debt and project finance proposals.

• Credit Due Diligence: Perform detailed qualitative and quantitative credit assessments of borrowers, evaluating business models, management capability, operational risks, industry dynamics, and ESG compliance.

• Transaction Structuring: Design and structure optimal debt products—including long-term senior secured loans, mezzanine/bridge financing, trade finance (LCs, discounting), and working capital solutions—aligned with client cash flows and lender criteria.

• Information Memorandums & Credit Notes: Draft high-quality Investment Memorandums (IM), Credit Assessment Notes, pitch books, and financial presentations for submission to banks, DFIs, private credit funds, and institutional lenders.

• Lender Syndication & Execution: Coordinate with banks, NBFCs, and international debt funds to evaluate term sheets, negotiate pricing, covenants, and security structures, and manage the deal from sanction through documentation and drawdown.

2. Business Development & Deal Origination (30%)

• Deal Origination: Proactively identify and originate middle-market debt advisory mandates across core focus sectors (Manufacturing, Clean Energy, Agro-Processing, Trade/Commodities, Healthcare, Infrastructure).
• Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture direct relationships with CFOs, promoters, and treasury heads of mid-sized and large corporates needing capital raising or debt restructuring.
• Market Mapping & Intelligence: Track market trends, interest rate movements, corporate borrowing requirements, and cross-border trade flows to identify new advisory opportunities.
• Brand Representation: Represent Firm at corporate forums and industry events to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership in corporate debt advisory.
