Credit Controller & Accounts Assistant

Are you an experienced credit control or finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, building strong customer relationships and seeing tasks through to completion?

We’re looking for a proactive Credit Controller & Accounts Assistant to join our friendly, close-knit UK Finance team at Evergreen Garden Care.

This is a varied, hands-on role, with approximately 75% focused on Credit Control and Accounts Receivable, alongside providing support across Accounts Payable and the wider Finance function. You’ll take ownership of customer accounts, maximise cash collection, resolve queries and disputes, monitor aged debt and support reconciliations and month-end activities

We’re looking for someone with:

• Credit control, accounts receivable or finance assistant experience
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
• Confidence managing customer queries and difficult conversations professionally
• Experience using Excel and finance systems
• SAP or similar ERP experience would be advantageous

An AAT or CICM qualification would be welcomed, but it isn’t essential. Relevant practical finance experience is equally valued.
