ABOUT THE ROLEJoin one of New Zealand’s leading professional services firms. Based in beautiful Auckland CBD offices, you’ll be joining an established and collaborative Finance team in a business that values professionalism, teamwork and strong relationships.
This is not your typical Credit Controller role where you simply work through a debtor list. You’ll work closely with senior internal stakeholders and clients to understand accounts before following up, making communication and relationship building just as important as your technical AR experience.

KEY DUTIES

• Manage a portfolio of debtor accounts and follow up outstanding payments
• Support the reduction of aged debt and improvement of cash collection
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to resolve outstanding account matters
• Manage payment arrangements and repayment plans
• Assist with reconciliations and investigate account discrepancies
• Respond to debtor queries and ensure follow-ups are accurately documented
• Work closely with the Billing and wider Finance teams to resolve issues
• Identify potential credit risks and escalate where appropriate
• Maintain accurate customer account records and collection communications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years’ experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role
• Professional services or corporate experience would be advantageous
• Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comfortable building relationships with senior stakeholders and clients
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good numerical skills and understanding of AR processes
• Proactive, organised and able to manage your workload independently
• A positive, personable and team-focused approach
