We're looking for a Credit Controller to join our growing finance team. As part of this team, you will play a key part in driving cash performance, improving processes and helping us utilise technology and data to continually enhance the way we work, all whilst building a rewarding career with a growing business.

What you'll be doing

• Manage customer accounts and collections activities, ensuring timely payment and effective credit risk management.
• Build positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and drive successful outcomes.
• Work towards monthly targets focusing on debtor days, cash flow improvement and aged debt reduction
• Analyse aged debt, collection performance and debtor trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to introduce automation, AI tools and smarter ways of working.
• Manage more difficult accounts with a hands-on approach, achieving settlements and ongoing adherence to contractual terms by settling up negotiation processes to deal with disputes
• Produce insightful reporting and recommendations that support decision-making.
• Investigate and recover complex and historical debt cases.
• Contribute to achieving monthly cash collection, debtor day and aged debt reduction targets.

What we're looking for

We're keen to speak with candidates who can combine strong credit control expertise with analytical thinking and a continuous improvement mindset.

You'll ideally have:

• B2B credit control experience.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and data analysis.
• Experience producing management information and performance reports.
• A confident and proactive approach to resolving issues and challenging where necessary.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• An interest in using technology, automation or AI to improve business processes.
