Our client is a fast-growing specialist insurance group working across broking and underwriting. As the business grows, so does its finance function, and it is now building a brand-new credit control team.

The role

As Credit Controller, you’ll manage your own portfolio of accounts and make sure clients pay on time. You’ll speak to clients, handle credit control queries and resolve issues with premium finance houses. The work is varied and hands-on, and you’ll build strong relationships with clients, finance partners and colleagues across the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Debt collection: Manage your own portfolio of customer accounts and chase overdue payments by phone, email and letter.
• Query resolution: Investigate and resolve billing disputes, pricing discrepancies and client queries quickly.
• Premium finance liaison: Work with premium finance houses to resolve payment issues, missed instalments and cancellations.
• Stakeholder liaison: Work with account handlers, brokers and the wider finance team to improve billing processes and cash flow.

What you’ll bring

• Experience as a Credit Controller, in Accounts Receivable or in a similar finance role
• Insurance experience is a real advantage, but not essential
• A confident, professional phone manner with strong negotiation and people skills
• Close attention to detail and good organisation
• A resilient, solutions-focused attitude
