Credit Data Analyst

About the role

This role involves extracting, cleaning, processing, and analyzing data according to banking credit business requirements. You will write SQL queries to calculate credit-related indicators, create and maintain databases and analytical tables, and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support credit operations, risk management, and business decision-making. You will work closely with business teams to understand their needs and convert business requirements into practical data solutions, while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, traceability, and standardized KPI definitions.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, clean, process, and analyze data according to banking credit business requirements
• Write SQL queries to calculate credit-related indicators and create and maintain databases and analytical tables
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support credit operations, risk management, and business decision-making
• Work closely with business teams to understand their needs and convert business requirements into practical data solutions
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, traceability, and standardized KPI definitions

About you

• Proficient in SQL, including multi-table joins, aggregations, subqueries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and window functions
• Able to independently perform data extraction, data-table analysis, data validation, and data-quality checks
• Capable of translating business indicators into SQL logic and designing databases, data models, and analytical tables
• Strong analytical and logical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends, detect problems, and provide actionable recommendations
• Familiar with Power BI, Tableau, FineBI, or similar data-visualization tools, and able to independently create reports and management dashboards
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
• Good understanding of banking credit operations, including credit assessment, approval, loan disbursement, repayment, delinquency management, collections, and asset-quality management
• Previous experience in banking, lending, or financial technology is preferred
• Able to read and understand written Chinese well
• Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both professional and daily work settings
