Duties

• Evaluate credit applications by collecting and analyzing comprehensive financial data from clients and prospects to assess creditworthiness.
• Conduct thorough risk analysis using data mining techniques and data modeling tools to identify potential threats and opportunities.
• Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and organizational goals.
• Negotiate credit terms with clients, balancing risk mitigation with customer satisfaction to foster long-term relationships.
• Monitor ongoing credit exposure through regular data collection and analysis, adjusting strategies as needed to mitigate potential losses.
• Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial services or credit management roles with a strong understanding of credit risk assessment.
• Proficiency in data collection, data mining, and data modeling techniques to analyze large datasets effectively.
• Solid math skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information accurately.
• Excellent negotiation skills to establish favorable credit terms while managing organizational risk.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, forecast risks, and develop strategic solutions.
• Degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
