What they need

Protecting the bank starts with smart, forward-looking risk decisions. You’ll help shape responsible growth by assessing complex counterparties and markets and turning analysis into clear credit recommendations. You’ll work closely with front office, legal, and risk partners while building deep expertise across hedge funds and traditional funds. You’ll be trusted to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and influence outcomes. If you enjoy fast-moving markets and analytical problem-solving, you’ll have room to grow here.

As an Analyst within Credit Risk, you serve as a credit risk partner for a portfolio of Asia Pacific–domiciled hedge funds and traditional funds. You’ll own the ongoing credit relationship, including internal credit assessments, risk appetite recommendations, and proactive monitoring. You’ll support transaction execution by partnering with business and legal teams on structuring, risk terms, and documentation. You’ll use sound judgment to evaluate model and risk-measure outputs against real client circumstances. You’ll collaborate across regions to support consistent global coverage.

Job responsibilities

  • Own credit coverage for a portfolio of Asia Pacific hedge funds and asset managers, acting as a primary risk point of contact for business partners
  • Recommend risk appetite and exposure limits based on diligence findings and ongoing fund performance
  • Review risk-measure outputs (for example, margin and exposure metrics) and challenge assumptions to ensure they fit client-specific risk profiles
  • Participate in client due diligence meetings and drive follow-up analysis to support timely, well-documented credit decisions
  • Partner with business and legal teams to structure transactions and negotiate credit terms and legal documentation
  • Review trading activity and recommend margin requirements and structural enhancements to manage risk appropriately
  • Build effective, constructive partnerships with internal stakeholders and external clients through clear, actionable communication
  • Apply a strong understanding of hedge fund and asset manager investment strategies and the risks inherent in them
  • Collaborate with North America and Europe, Middle East and Africa credit counterparts to support a consistent global coverage model

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Knowledge of counterparty credit risk analysis skills, with 1 plus  years’ experience in conducting diligence on Hedge Funds, Asset Managers or Financial Institutions obtained in a corporate or investment bank
  • Sound knowledge of flow and exotic derivatives (both bilateral and OTC cleared), Prime Brokerage and Clearing Services, Securities Financing and associated documentation (ISDA, CSA, GMRA, Clearing Agreements etc)
  • Knowledge of the Hedge Fund and Asset Management industry, financial markets (including macro and micro-economics), fund strategies and risks inherent to them
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.  Be able to establish credibility & trust with both internal and external stakeholders.  High level of intellectual curiosity.
