Credit Risk Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Credit Risk Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will own credit underwriting strategy for SMB and commercial card programs, with a strong focus on balancing growth and risk discipline. You will partner closely with data science, bank partners, and cross-functional business teams to refine credit policy, monitor performance, and improve portfolio outcomes. The position also includes developing risk documentation and serving as a trusted advisor on credit decisions and account health.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $123,000 – $180,900 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead credit underwriting for SMB and commercial card programs
• Develop and refine credit risk origination strategies
• Adjust credit policies based on performance and risk trends
• Collaborate with data scientists to create credit risk models
• Manage credit lines and account performance monitoring
• Draft risk documentation and support bank partners
• Act as a risk consultant and cross-functional advisor

Qualifications

• 5+ years in credit risk and pricing programs, preferably at a fintech
• Hands-on manual underwriting experience for SMB and commercial credit products
• Expertise in credit policy and risk strategy development
• Strong analytical skills in financial statement and liquidity analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field
