Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Creditor’s Rights Paralegal for a remote position serving matters in Ohio and Kentucky. Candidates must hold an active Kentucky Notary Public commission and be available to perform in-person notarizations of legal documents as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing litigation files, meeting court deadlines, and providing legal support in creditor’s rights, collections, and civil litigation matters.

This position is well suited for a self-motivated legal professional who can manage multiple cases independently, communicate effectively with attorneys and clients, and help move cases efficiently from initial filing through judgment and enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file complaints, motions, affidavits, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Manage creditor’s rights, collections, and judgment enforcement files.
• Perform in-person notarizations of legal documents as required.
• Monitor court deadlines, hearings, service of process, and case status.
• Assist with garnishments, executions, liens, and other post-judgment enforcement proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and assist with discovery and trial preparation.
• Handle electronic court filings and maintain accurate digital case records.
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed.
• Support attorneys with day-to-day litigation operations involving Ohio and Kentucky cases.
• Ensure compliance with applicable court rules, filing requirements, and procedural deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Kentucky Notary Public commission.
• Must be available to notarize documents in person as needed.
• Prior paralegal experience, preferably in creditor’s rights, collections, foreclosure, or civil litigation.
• Familiarity with Ohio court procedures and electronic filing systems.
• Experience handling Kentucky legal matters is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic case management systems.
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a remote environment.
• Reliable internet access and a suitable home office.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

• Hourly pay: $22–$24, based on experience and qualifications.
• Schedule: Full-time.
• Location: Remote, with preference for candidates based in Southern Kentucky or the Cincinnati, Ohio area.
• Work environment: Remote, with electronic collaboration and communication. In-person availability is required for notarization of legal documents as needed.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
