Crew Chief

Job Title: Crew Chief - Sanitation Operations Location: Kaukauna, WI

Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Crew Chief to lead and supervise sanitation teams within a food manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing daily sanitation activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and coordinating closely with plant operations to minimize downtime and support production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise front-line sanitation crews on the plant floor.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor crew performance to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Coach, train, and provide feedback to team members.
• Coordinate sanitation schedules with plant operations and production teams.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety standards.
• Conduct inspections and ensure sanitation activities meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational issues and work with team members and plant leadership to resolve them.
• Maintain accurate documentation, procedures, and sanitation records.
• Drive continuous improvement in sanitation safety, efficiency, speed, and reliability.
• Help create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Supervisor, Crew Lead, Shift Lead, Team Lead, or similar front-line leadership role.
• Experience in food processing, industrial operations, manufacturing, sanitation, or similar environments.
• Strong people-management, coaching, and communication skills.
• Understanding of sanitation and food safety practices; knowledge of GMP/HACCP is preferred.
• Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Comfortable working on-site in a food manufacturing facility.
• Ability to stand, walk, and handle equipment for extended periods.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous contract sanitation experience is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Background Sanitation Supervisor, Sanitation Lead, Crew Lead, Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Food Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, or similar front-line leadership experience.
