Crew Lead / Tree Climber

COVA Tree is looking for an experienced Crew Lead / Tree Climber to join our team. This role combines skilled tree climbing and tree care with crew leadership, job-site organization, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree climbing, pruning, and removals using proper climbing and rigging techniques
• Lead and support crew members throughout daily jobs
• Help coordinate job-site workflow to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
• Ensure company safety procedures and tree care standards are followed
• Operate and care for tree care equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and related equipment
• Complete scheduled work orders efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Communicate effectively with crew members and leadership
• Maintain a clean and organized job site and ensure customer properties are left in excellent condition

Qualifications

• Previous professional tree climbing and pruning/removal experience
• Strong knowledge of safe climbing, rigging, and tree care practices
• Ability to safely and effectively lead a crew
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and communication skills
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
• Valid driver's license
• CDL is a plus

Compensation

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications
• Tips when applicable

Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
