Crew Leader

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Crew Leader to lead and optimize our supply chain, distribution, and logistics functions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee end-to-end operations, ensuring seamless coordination across warehousing, transportation, procurement, and inventory management. Your leadership will drive process improvements, enhance efficiency, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supply chain management, team supervision, and operational excellence to propel our organization toward its strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of distribution operations, including warehouse management, transportation planning, and freight management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Lead process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodologies and process management tools to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
• Manage supply chain activities such as procurement, demand planning, inventory control, and production planning to meet organizational objectives.
• Supervise warehouse operations and warehouse supervisors to maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.
• Implement and utilize transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for efficient data tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners to optimize freight forwarding and shipping processes.
• Monitor profit & loss statements, budgeting processes, and supply chain analytics to ensure financial health and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across distribution channels by analyzing logistics data and implementing best practices in supply chain management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations management within logistics, distribution, or supply chain environments with supervising responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and inventory management tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Experience with demand planning, production planning, procurement, freight forwarding (including NVOCC), and fleet management.
• Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively across multiple functions.
• Familiarity with 3PL providers, distribution operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite along with supply chain analytics tools for data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to develop budgets, manage profit & loss statements, and implement continuous improvement strategies in a fast-paced environment.
