Christmas Decor is the nation’s leading professional holiday lighting and décor company. We design, install, maintain, and remove custom lighting displays for homes and businesses, so our customers get a beautiful holiday season without the hassle (or the ladder). We’re looking for a dependable, safety-minded Crew Leader to run a field crew and represent our brand on every job.

The Role
As a Crew Leader, you’ll lead a small installation crew day to day, making sure every display is installed safely, correctly, and on schedule. Strong communication and a professional attitude matter just as much as being comfortable working at heights.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead a crew of 2–4 installers on residential and commercial jobs, assigning tasks and keeping the team on schedule.
• Set the tone for safety on every job site, including correct ladder setup, roof safety practices, and use of fall protection where required.
• Conduct a final walkthrough of each install to make sure the work meets our quality standards before leaving the site.

Customer Communication

• Greet customers on arrival, review the design and job plan, and answer questions professionally.
• Walk customers through the finished display and explain timers and basic operation.
• Communicate job status, delays, or changes to the office in a timely way.

Installation & Removal

• Install and remove lighting and décor on rooflines, trees, shrubs, walkways, and commercial properties.
• Work safely on ladders (including extension ladders up to 28–32 ft) and on pitched roofs.
• Assemble custom-fit lighting and wreaths/garland.
• Label, pack, and track customer inventory during takedown for storage and reinstallation next season.

Vehicles & Equipment

• At times, drive a company van or pickup truck with trailer to and from job sites safely.
• Load and secure ladders, materials, and equipment before each job.
• Keep vehicles, trailers, and tools organized, clean, and in good working order, and report any maintenance issues.

Qualifications

Required

• Comfortable and confident working on ladders and rooftops.
• Able to work outdoors in cold and winter conditions.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to the full season through takedown.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor with customers.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; comfortable driving a truck with trailer (or willing to learn).
• Able to lift and carry materials and stay on your feet for long shifts.
• Available for early starts, occasional evenings, and some weekends during peak season.
• 18 years or older.

Preferred

• Prior experience leading a crew or supervising others.
• Experience in holiday lighting, landscaping, roofing, gutters, painting, construction, or another trade involving heights.
• Experience towing and backing a trailer.
• Basic electrical knowledge (circuits, extension cords, timers).

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
