About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Crew Restaurant to join our kitchen and food preparation team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Setiu, Terengganu and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Crew Restaurant, you will play a vital part in ensuring our guests receive high-quality meals and exceptional service. You will work as part of a collaborative team, supporting both kitchen operations and food service delivery to maintain the standards that define OMBAK PANTA.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble food items according to recipes, plating guidelines, and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including washing and sanitising equipment and utensils
• Support the kitchen team in food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and cooking tasks as directed
• Ensure all food items are stored correctly and follow proper food safety and hygiene protocols
• Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of food and supplies
• Respond promptly to service requests and work efficiently during peak dining hours
• Support front-of-house staff with food plating and service as needed
• Maintain awareness of special dietary requirements and allergen information
• Report any equipment issues or food shortages to the kitchen supervisor
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a kitchen, food preparation, or hospitality environment is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to take direction well
• Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and lift items as required
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
• Reliability and punctuality
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
• Knowledge of local or regional cuisine is a plus
