Critical Facilities Lead, Compute Infrastructure

For our client, we are seeking a Critical Facilities Lead, Compute Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead critical facilities operations for large-scale compute environments, with a strong focus on commissioning, deployment readiness, and ongoing reliability. The position sits at the intersection of construction, hardware, and operations, ensuring that infrastructure is prepared to support high-stakes technology workloads. You will partner closely with design and engineering teams to refine procedures, address field issues, and establish durable operational standards for the sites.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and execute commissioning steps and bring-up processes for data center facilities
• Interface with design and hardware teams to customize deployment procedures
• Oversee installation and operational readiness of large-scale data center campuses
• Manage monitoring, maintenance, and quality control of infrastructure systems
• Develop staffing strategies for on-site operations
• Establish and enforce protocols for both planned and unplanned downtime

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in large-scale data center operations or critical infrastructure engineering
• Familiarity with liquid-cooled IT systems, including CDU and manifold design
• Ability to define and enhance processes at the crossover of construction, hardware, and operations
• Experience managing infrastructure throughout deployment, maintenance, and recovery
• Proven track record in addressing field issues and ensuring operational reliability
