About the Role:

Hpqrecruit Llc is seeking a skilled Critical Systems Technician – HVAC to join our team in Ashburn, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical HVAC systems in one of the most data center-dense corridors in the world. Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair critical HVAC systems including chillers, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH units, and air handlers
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mission-critical mechanical and HVAC equipment
• Monitor building management systems (BMS) and respond to alarms or system anomalies
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC failures to minimize downtime in critical environments
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs
• Coordinate with facility managers and engineering teams to ensure system reliability and uptime
• Adhere to safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and industry compliance standards

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance, preferably in critical or data center environments
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required
• Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, variable air volume (VAV), and precision cooling units
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) and CMMS platforms
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a commitment to minimizing system downtime
• Ability to work rotating shifts, on-call schedules, and respond to emergency situations
