Croissant Baker

Job Overview

Metropol Bakery prides itself in being a from-scratch bakery. We are looking to hire a croissant baker! We are looking to fill Sunday-Tuesday and possibly Wednesdays as well. Experience is preferred. However, we are open to training the right person without experience if a love and curiosity toward baking is present. This would be an opportunity for you to come work with us at Metropol Bakery and learn the skills involved in making and baking croissants from scratch as well as other pastries such as Pain au Chocolat; the traditional after school treat of French children! The croissant shift typically starts at 3pm and will be roughly a 7-12 hour shift. Depending on the amount of projects that night as well as your speed. The croissant baker’s duties include, but are not limited to, shaping dough, proofing, baking, following recipes, maintaining a clean work environment, making glazes and fruit fillings. • Stamina is really important, can you stand and work on your feet for long periods of time?
