Abercrombie & Kent’s Cruise division, Akorn Destination Management, is a specialised division offering first class services in shore excursions, extended land programs and turnaround services to the cruise industry.  Our teams are committed to service and dedicated to clients; provide local insight and practical knowledge that is enhanced by global expertise and presence.

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity where you'll play a key role behind the scenes, helping bring unforgettable cruise experiences to life. No two days are the same. One day you could be coordinating guides for shore excursions, the next supporting operations on the pier as a cruise ship arrives.

You'll work alongside passionate travel professionals, gain valuable industry experience and become part of a business that connects people with destinations around the world.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting our Shore Excursions, Turnaround and Land Programme teams
• Assisting Account Managers and remote teams with last-minute requests and operational changes
• Coordinating guide rosters and excursion logistics
• Preparing and reconfirming travel documentation
• Loading bookings and quotations into our reservation systems
• Maintaining accurate records and correspondence
• Supporting operations on cruise ship days when required
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and partners
• Assisting with sustainability reporting and certification activities
• Pitching in wherever needed to help deliver exceptional guest experiences

The successful applicant will have:

• Loves being organised and keeping things on track
• Has administration and customer service experience
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Can juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Communicates confidently and professionally
• Is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office
• Has travel or cruise industry experience (a bonus, not a must!)
• Full-time role five days a week which could include weekend days and public holidays. During the high cruise season

Experience with travel reservation systems or preparing itineraries and quotations will be highly regarded.
