Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer calls and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
• Provide accurate information about products and services offered by Ian Smart Energy Corp
• Assist customers with account inquiries, billing questions, and service-related issues
• Process customer requests, complaints and concerns promptly and efficiently
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
• Follow company protocols and procedures to ensure consistent service quality
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services when appropriate
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex customer issues
• Meet or exceed established performance targets including call handling times and customer satisfaction metrics
• Contribute to a positive team environment through cooperation and mutual support

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Proven customer service experience, preferably in a call centre environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
• Strong listening and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
• Proficiency in using computer systems and relevant software applications
• Patience and empathy when dealing with customer concerns
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
• Knowledge of energy or utility services is advantageous but not essential
