North Shore Private Hospital (NSPH) is a 336-bed surgical, medical and maternity facility located on Sydney’s lower North Shore. The hospital’s specialties include orthopaedics, obstetrics, neurosurgery, intensive care, cardiac surgery, cardiology, ear nose and throat, vascular, plastics, oncology and general surgery.

Job Description

We are seeking CSSD Technician to join our Sterilisation Team at North Shore Private Hospital. In this role you will be responsible for reprocessing of reusable medical devices, including decontamination, processing, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of reusable medical devices and medical equipment for varying clinical departments. This role is a critical part of the sterilising process which will see you working within your team to meet the needs of the peri-op team. Reporting to the CSSD Manager, you will work within an efficient and supportive professional team to assist the perioperative team to deliver the best care for our patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Working within a team to process instruments, trays, and equipment in a timely manner.
• You will be within various allocated areas in the department.
• You will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre areas and CSSD whilst practising exceptional customer service and maintaining the high operational standards of the sterilisation department.

Skills and Experience

• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or currently enrolled and working towards completion.
• Previous CSSD experience is desirable, however training and support will be provided for those completing their qualification.
• Your positive outlook will enable you to collaborate effectively with our team and independently as required.
• You will be customer service oriented in both internal and external settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
• Exceptional organisational skills.
• Strong knowledge of the principles behind AS 5369:2023(desirable).

Additional Information
