CT Technologist

Role: Apply expertise to deliver safe, high-quality CT imaging and support a positive patient experience. Collaborate as a vital member of the care team, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans according to department protocols, capturing diagnostic images while minimizing radiation dose (ALARA).
• Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques as needed.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and rooms, following infection control standards.
• Gather clinical history, verify orders, and ensure correct patient identification.
• Explain procedures clearly, addressing patient questions and reducing anxiety using AIDET.
• Administer contrast, position patients accurately, and use appropriate shielding and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic quality, repeating or correcting as necessary.
• Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS and manage study transfers and retrievals.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment readiness.
• Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (Basic Life Support).
