The hourly pay ranges from $33.37 to $51.57, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist:

• Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
• Prepare and position patients to obtain accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to help ensure their comfort and cooperation.
• Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow radiation safety standards and use appropriate dose-reduction techniques.
• Administer contrast agents when authorized and in accordance with facility protocols.
• Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or changes in condition.
• Review images for quality and completeness before submitting them for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow infection control and equipment safety procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, or other credentials accepted by the facility.
• Applicable North Carolina licensure or authorization to practice, as required.
• BLS certification, if required by the facility.
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, radiation safety, patient positioning, and contrast procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule, with a 4x10-hour option available.
