Summary

As the Culinary Director at Cityview Healthcare & Rehabilitation, you will lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our residents. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life through nutritious and delicious meal offerings that reflect our commitment to personalized care.

In this position you will provide leadership to a dedicated team who is focused on providing quality home cooked meals to our residents in a family focused environment.

Minimum starting salary for the position is $55,000 annually; salary is negotiable based on experience.

The typical schedule for this opportunity is Monday through Friday with flexible start and end times based on community need. This position is a part of the community management team and will take part in the manager on duty weekend coverage rotation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all culinary operations in the community, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Assist with development and implement menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of residents.
• Manage kitchen staff, providing training and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and service.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs effectively to maintain budgetary goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to create engaging dining experiences for residents.

Requirements

• Proven experience in culinary arts or food service management, preferably in a healthcare or community setting.
• CDM certification preferred
• Serve Safe certification required
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• In-depth knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen management practices.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and residents.
• Ability to create menus that accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
