Culinary Prep

Hen House is a craft cocktail and wine bar known for our creative drinks, curated wine list, and elevated guest experience. We’re looking for dependable, detail-oriented Culinary Prep to join our Hattiesburg team and support our small plates and charcuterie program.

Our kitchen is a small, light-bites concept—no line cooking, no fryers—focused instead on beautiful presentation, ingredient prep, and food styling. We offer a curated menu that includes charcuterie boards, sandwiches, deviled eggs, hummus, brussels sprouts, and other easy, but elevated small plates. THIS IS NOT A LINE COOK POSITION - THIS ROLE FOCUSES ON FOOD PREP & PLATING. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys:

• Creative food styling and plating
• Pairing food with wine & cocktails
• Working independently in a clean, organized prep kitchen
• Helping brainstorm seasonal menu additions
• Building hands-on experience in a hospitality-forward environment

The Culinary Prep role at Hen House involves ingredient prep, plating and presenting dishes, maintaining kitchen organization, light cooking using an air fryer, washing dishes as needed, and monitoring inventory. We’re open Wednesday–Sunday, and we’re asking for 1-2 shifts per week.
