A place that is proudly distinctive. We’ll be celebrating all this and more as the “rebel borough” when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.

Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Curriculum Writer to join our Talent, Recruitment and Development team. Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, you will play a key role in designing and developing high-quality learning programmes that support the Council’s learning and development strategy.

Your work will include creating engaging learning content, developing curricula and learning resources, and ensuring programmes are aligned to organisational priorities and learning outcomes. You will also deliver training and workshops where appropriate, support learning initiatives across the organisation, and manage and develop members of the team.

As part of this varied role, you will work closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts and colleagues across the Council to design effective learning solutions, evaluate their impact, and continuously improve the learner experience.

Working alongside learning professionals, workforce project leads and service teams, you will contribute to initiatives that build capability across the Council.

This is a collaborative and supportive team that works closely with services across the organisation, senior managers, HR colleagues and external partners to create a positive and impactful learning culture.

About you

You will be an experienced learning and development professional with strong curriculum design and content development skills.
You will be confident developing learning solutions, delivering engaging training sessions, and managing competing priorities. Some experience of people management, coaching and supporting others to develop will be important. Ideally, you will hold, or be willing to work towards, a recognised learning and development qualification and have experience using a range of learning technologies and authoring tools.

Working for Haringey

At Haringey Council we are committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included, and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits of a diverse workforce so welcome applications from all ethnicities and communities so that we continue to make a difference to our residents and community.
