Custodial Maintenance Technician

This position supports all UNC NEPA locations.

Hours: Full-time hours Monday through Friday with the availability to participate in weekly team On-Call rotation.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance, the Custodial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, order, and upkeep of both indoor and outdoor areas.

This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and participants. Duties include cleaning, minor maintenance, and adhering to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Cleans offices, restrooms, common areas, outdoor spaces, floors, fixtures and classrooms.

• General cleaning responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, wiping, and sanitizing.

• Maintains the cleanliness of exterior walkways, parking areas, and entryways.

• Removes litter and debris from outdoor areas.

• Maintaining stock levels, cleaning equipment, and refilling dispensers.

• Ability to make minor repairs

• Ability to participate in snow removal use of blowers/plows/shovels/salt carts.

• Experience in grounds keeping use of trimmers/mowers.

• Available to participate in On-Call rotation.

• Ability to lift 50lbs.

• All duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• A valid driver’s license is required with a clean driving record.

• Must have reliable transportation to and from multiple locations; mileage reimbursement included.

• Technical Knowledge: Basic Knowledge of Building Maintenance (electrical, plumbing or carpentry)
