Building Maintenance

Summary
The Building Maintenance staff maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.
• Cleans, mops, washes, buffs and vacuums floors.
• Empties trash.
• Maintains outside walk areas, including sweeping debris, washing walkways and salting during winter.
• Maintains landscape as applicable
• Cleans and polishes fixtures.
• Cleans windows.
• Dusts and vacuums furniture.
• Pushing or moving equipment or deliveries throughout the building on pallet jacks, storage carts or dollies.
• Operating commercial grade carpet extraction machinery.
• Operating commercial grade floor buffers.
• Event set-up and tear down, which includes stacking, unstacking and moving of commercial grade, metal chairs.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of deliveries of equipment and/or supplies.
• Snow removal (i.e., shoveling) from parking lots and sidewalks during the winter.
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or reaching up and down the majority of each shift.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are normally Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Evening and weekend work will be required as building event schedule dates.
