Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation across various facilities. Your proactive approach and dedication will ensure a welcoming environment for clients, visitors, and staff alike. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained space while honing your custodial skills.

Schedule

Monday through Friday from 3 PM - 11 PM. Available weekends as needed

Compensation

$20.00 per hour *Must speak English

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed
• Maintain facilities by performing routine janitorial tasks including trash removal, dusting, window washing, and surface disinfecting
• Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while adhering to safety protocol guidelines
• Support general maintenance activities such as minor repairs or painting to uphold facility appearance and functionality
• Document completed tasks accurately in logs and reports to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques
• Skilled in handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures
• Experience operating cleaning equipment like floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices
• Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and visitors when necessary
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or residential painting
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to sanitation, chemical handling, and equipment operation
