About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join the team at CEBU GENERAL SERVICES INC. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our healthcare and medical facilities. Your work will directly contribute to creating a hygienic and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. This position is essential to our operations, ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of sanitation and organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Performing regular cleaning and sanitisation of all facility areas, including patient rooms, corridors, waiting areas, bathrooms, and common spaces
• Maintaining floors, carpets and other surfaces by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and polishing as required
• Emptying and replacing waste bins, ensuring proper disposal of refuse according to healthcare waste management protocols
• Restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other sanitation materials in designated areas
• Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery in a safe and effective manner
• Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or safety hazards to management immediately
• Following infection control procedures and healthcare facility standards to prevent cross-contamination
• Assisting with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned
• Maintaining a clean and organised storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Custodian or in a similar cleaning and maintenance role, preferably within a healthcare or medical facility environment
• Strong understanding of hygiene standards and infection control protocols relevant to healthcare settings
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks throughout a full working day
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work consistently as part of a team
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully
• Good communication skills and a professional demeanour when interacting with staff and patients
• Knowledge of healthcare waste disposal and safety procedures is highly desirable
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and additional responsibilities as needed
