Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Your efforts will ensure that all areas are kept in pristine condition, supporting the health and safety of staff, visitors, and clients alike. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Conduct routine floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a polished appearance
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks in specialized areas requiring heavy-duty cleaning techniques
• Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and restock materials as needed to ensure continuous cleanliness operations
• Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks including light repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring safety standards are met
• Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and extractors safely and efficiently
• Support with porter duties such as moving furniture or equipment to facilitate cleaning or maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services, preferably within commercial or residential settings
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and use of cleaning equipment like buffers and vacuums
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
