Custodian

Description: The custodian position for FEA Industries will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the company buildings, which are all within a mile of each other. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash, restocking supplies, and performing general maintenance tasks as needed. The custodian will ensure all areas are properly maintained and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Position Responsibilities: All duties to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance.

• Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, offices and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust assigned areas.
• Remove trash and run the trash compactor.
• Clean building windows.
• Restock common cleaning products such as toilet paper and paper towels.
• Report repairs, damages, and safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, equipment, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to safely handle cleaning products and chemicals.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull supplies and equipment as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Salary Range: $18.00 per hour
